Over the years they have shown there usefulness be it in hunting, for company or for guarding, they have become vital to our society too. Due to their excellent sense of smell and hearing certain dogs are used in the police force, other breeds are used as guide dogs, to heard animals as well as help the fire department. I wish I could adopt all the “throwaways” I know there are some who have very good reasons for taking their pets to a shelter. I just couldn’t do it. Thanks for the photos.

I love dogs all kinds. I have a Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog mix. One of the most intelligent dogs I’ve ever owned. I think she owns me rather. Excellent site. Love it

Sorry to the dogs– but I just don’t like the ones in the studio, they are very unnatural and really make the photos awful in my most humble opinion. I like the ones where a dog is outside or in a normal house.
