Panasonic continues to investi in their Micro Four Thirds System which appeals to everyone specially when it comes to its ease of use.
One of the best things that happened to the photography industry in the last years was the Micro Four Thirds System. Beside all the superb characteristics it possesses, the highlight is that it permits the production of cameras such as the Single Lens Reflex and the other compact models.
Easy of Use
One of the best characteristics of the Panasonic GF1 was the creation of a really simple interface. In makes the camera suitable for everyone and it can achieve fantastic images and HD vídeos.
The RAW images of Lumix GF1 are of great quality, able to impress any Professional photographer. Given this camera is nota n SLR, it can still compete with them due to the high quality of the RAWs.
One of the big strenghts about the new Panasonic is the lighting and focus system which are faster, more precise and reliable.
The facial recognition function is a must nowadays, and surelly it doesn’t dissapoint in the GF1, it’s fast to identify a face.
Weak Points
The weak points of the GF1 are uncomparable with the strong points of this camera.
There were little to none complains about this camera, besides the shooting time, which we were expecting to be faster. Another factor which was expected by Panasonic in this model was a significant improvement on the JPEGs, which unfortunately didn’t happen. Nevertheless this is something that can be easily configured in the camera.
